Most New Avenues housing programs require participants to be screened into the Homeless Youth Continuum. For information about screening criteria, please e-mail us at housing@newavenues.org if you have any questions.

Site-Based Housing

Our 24-bed facility in downtown Portland provides transitional housing and supportive services, with residents engaging in 30 hours of productive time per week, including education, counseling, job training, and employment..

Community-Based Housing

Our community-based housing program helps youth transition into their own apartment in the community, supporting rental-search efforts, subsidizing housing costs, and providing other supports as needed.

New Doors

New Doors is a housing community for youth formerly in foster care based on the Oxford House model of self-governance.  Each resident is either working or in school.

Unity House

Oregon’s first-ever housing program for LGBTQ youth experiencing homelessness, Unity House and Unity House II expand on the LGBTQ-specific services we offer through SMYRC (Sexual & Gender Minority Youth Resource Center).

New Meadows

The New Meadows Dorothy Lemelson House  is a 15-unit housing complex for recent alums of the foster-care system and connect to nonprofit partner Bridge Meadows’ multigenerational community.

Robinswood

Robinswood is a residential program for difficult to place DHS foster youth ages 9-20. Robinswood is located on the Youth Villages campus in Lake Oswego and provides housing to youth of all gender identities and sexual orientations.
